Native to a small community in North Georgia, Danielle has always had a drive to push beyond her borders. Though her grandfather, Tommy Roe, a billboard number 1 hit musician and her Golden Globe Award winning grandmother, Josette Banzet, ignited these interests in her at a very young age, becoming a first-generation college graduate was nothing short of a long road of self-discovery and determination. In her early years she discovered a program through her high school which allowed her to explore her deeply rooted talents in media production and broadcasting. Eventually, due to financial pressure from her parents, she was forced to put down the camera and focus on academics in order to secure scholarships for higher education.

Danielle received a degree in Psychology from the University of North Georgia in 2017, because of her deeply rooted interests in the betterment of people’s lives. She knew however, that the creative passion that she had swept aside years ago, was creating a longing in her that she needed to fulfill. She decided to move to the city of Atlanta, where she immersed herself in the community and hospitality of people of all kinds, broadening her experiences and yet again igniting this creative curiosity. It wasn’t long before she realized that the Film industry, in Georgia, was booming and decided to go back to school to study Film.

Through her experiences at the University of North Georgia, she has been able to learn from and alongside some of the most talented and well renowned faculty and staff, as well as her fellow creatives. This has allowed her to work intensely, both professionally and personally, to develop her craft as a cinematographer, and in all stages of the production process. Her experience ranges from music videos, feature films, reality television, and much, much more.

Her personal experiences and background in psychology, give her storytelling a unique and raw look into the story’s not often told by the mainstream media. Through the help of lighting composition, she creates a visual voice that speaks volumes to anyone who will listen.

Since her choice to change her career path she has been commissioned to film for different organizations all over the globe, including Israel, Thailand, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, China, Turkey, and Belize, focusing on issues such as human rights, community development, child education, peace and conflict management, and simply the bringing together of people. Her voice and passion for community is well reflected not only in her personal work but also everyday she steps on set. She is a team player and thrives in the atmosphere and comradery that a production requires to be successful and brings a certain contagious excitement that is hard to ignore. 

For the future, she hopes that she can continue learning a growing every day to better herself and to better her craft, alongside as many inspirational people in the industry that she can. She hopes to keep using her tools to be a voice for those who are often left unheard, and to simply work on creating a better future for us all, both in the industry and beyond.
